Come for the Craft. Stay For Something More.
In this journey of building Craft Talk, I’ve been able to connect with amazing people and have learned so much about their stories and their respective disciplines. I love having the opportunity to learn something new from every single conversation. Through this experience, I’ve realized that no matter how different our skillsets are, we all share something in common.
It doesn’t matter what type of work or “craft” that you are involved in.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or an expert.
It doesn’t matter if your craft is not your main source of income.
By looking into other people’s work, process, and outlook, we can uncover a more universal wisdom. My hope is to encourage a posture of curiosity and observation so we can celebrate those hidden connections between us.
That’s the heart of Craft Talk. Are you In?
About the Host
“Artists are people driven by the tension between the desire to communicate and the desire to hide.” - DW Winnicott
Tito Mendoza is a creative introvert trying to connect to the world using creativity through music, podcasting, and social media. Currently, his creativity is focused on being the host of Craft Talk, but over the years, his journey has taken him through various roles: singer-songwriter, graphic designer, music producer, live event technician, and even a stint as a creative partner at Dogtown Studio.
Outside of his creative endeavors, Tito works a full time corporate job, and also moonlights as a customer service and quality assurance/testing specialist for an app developer. (talk about big millennial energy, amirite?). He is currently located in Grand Rapids, Michigan living life with his wife, Amanda and their misbehaved, but super adorable dogs.
